Turbidity in Water Treatment
Multi-media filter
As a mature underground iron removal solution, the system achieves simultaneous removal of iron ions, turbidity, color and suspended solids through graded filter media layers (particle size 0.8-12mm). When combined with coagulation pretreatment, it can efficiently intercept 10-micron particles. Its backwash function ensures long-term operational stability and reduces the cost of treating a ton of water by more than 40%.
Green Sand Filter (GSF)
Adopts manganese sand catalytic oxidation technology to professionally remove Fe²⁺, Mn²⁺ and H₂S. Flexible system configuration:
Small units are equipped with Fleck®/Clack® automatic valves (service flow 2-5 GPM/ft²)
Medium-sized units use pneumatic diaphragm valves + digital display controllers
Large projects are equipped with PLC-controlled electric butterfly valve systems
Backwash intensity ≥12 GPM/ft², filter bed expansion rate 40%, and medium life extended by 3 times.
Industrial iron removal technology solution
Water source challenge
The iron content in groundwater often exceeds 5mg/L (national standard ≤0.3mg/L), and after oxidation, it forms Fe(OH)₃ colloid, which causes equipment scaling and pipeline corrosion. The multi-media filtration system can simultaneously solve the problem of excessive iron and manganese and protect the back-end RO membrane system.
Key points of project implementation
Filter material configuration: Green sand + quartz sand grading layer to achieve deep filtration
Backwash control: pressure difference/timing dual-mode automatic backwash
System integration: skid-mounted design saves 30% of floor space
